WSDOT Seeks Input on Proposed Improvements for SR 202 near Sammamish

The Washington State Department of Transportation wants to hear the community’s questions and concerns about proposed improvements for SR 202. The public is invited to an open house between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 25 at city of Sammamish Commons in council chambers, 801 228th Ave. S.E. Sammamish, Wash.

WSDOT, city of Sammamish, King County and Puget Sound Regional Council are working together to identify transportation related problems for the highway between Sahalee Way and Duthie Hill Road (292nd Avenue Southeast). This fall they will develop a list of projects to address safety and mobility issues on the SR 202 corridor.

Those who attend the open house can talk with project staff, view displays, and provide comments on the proposed list of improvements. There will be no formal presentations, so the public is encouraged to stop by anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

WSDOT also wants to hear from people who can’t attend the open house. If you’re unable to attend, please contact project manager Jean Mabry by phone at (206) 464-1266 or by e-mail at SR202Study@wsdot.wa.gov with questions or comments. Detailed project information is also available through our Web site at www.wsdot.wa.gov/planning/RDP/SR202/SahaleeWayToDuthieHill.

The meeting site is accessible to people with disabilities. Individuals requiring reasonable accommodation may request written materials in alternative formats, sign language interpreters, physical accessibility accommodations, or other reasonable accommodations. Persons with hearing impairments may call Washington State Telecommunications Relay Service TTY 1-800-833-6388, Tele-Braille 1-800-833-6385, Voice 1-800-833-6384, and ask to be connected to 206-515-3683.
