Full Description:
The West Cascade Chapter of the MARA Amateur Radio Net invites Sammamish area amateur radio operators to participate in a weekly net on Sunday evenings at 8:45 PM Local Time on 147.58 mhz FM simplex. If this frequency is busy or unuseable, the alternate frequency is 147.56 mhz.
The purpose of this net is to:
- Provide and foster fellowship opportunities
- Train members to be skilled radio communicators
- To offer service to agencies involved in humanitarian relief efforts
If you do not have an amateur radio license, there has never been a better time to get one. There will be three separate training courses offered on Microsoft campus in 2005 by the "MicroHams" club that will teach you everything you need to know to pass the FCC Technician class license exam.
