ARTIST WANTS TO PAINT BLIND

While "normal" artists don their glasses to work, 74-year-old Richard Stefanich, of Sammamish, takes his off not wanting to see clearly when he paints watercolors. Stefanich said that hiding his glasses forces him to make bolder strokes.
The retired professional photographer has his painting entitled "Sunflower Home" and was one of 14 national winners selected for the publication.
The painter owes his achievements to getting rid of his glasses and small brushes that had made him the "bold" painter that he is today.
